How to look and feel amazing on Monday morning!

Nobody likes Monday mornings, least of all if you have had a heavy dose of party lifestyle at a weekend. So just how can you look your best on a Monday morning, if you have put your body through carnage at the weekend. Well fortunately there are many ways to ensure that when you arrive at work on a Monday morning, you hopefully arrive looking and feeling a bit fresher and ready to take on the day.
 
Preparation
 
One of the best ways to actually look good on a Monday is to be feeling good. Unfortunately the only way to be feeling good is to actually look after your mind and body during the weekend. If you really want to look your best on a Monday, then unfortunately this really is the only way to give you and your body the best possible chance. 
 
  • Sleep - Natures way to give your body time to rest, repair and prepare you for the week ahead. We all love to go out and enjoy ourselves at the weekends, often involving late nights and lack of sleep, but when it comes to looking good on a Monday, your body will thank you for that extra sleep you had at the weekend. If you have not slept properly during the weekend, then make sure you get some good sleep on Sunday night. Try going to bed an hour earlier than you normally would. Try to relax and unwind before going to bed. Reading is a good way to get your mind and body prepared for sleep or try having a herbal tea, or detox drink before going to bed. 
  • Drink - Try to rehydrate your body as much as possible in the mid evening before going to bed on Sunday evening. This will help to detox your body, and also as any model will tell you, drinking water is great for your skin. Maybe try drinking a herbal tea of detox drink before bed. You will notice the difference!
  •  Cut down on alcohol and cigarettes. Stating the obvious, but alcohol and smoking are both bad for you and for your skin. Alcohol dehydrates the body along with many other negative side effects. Reducing your intake of cigarettes and alcohol will make you feel and look better at the beginning of the week. Even better, try not indulging in either and see what a difference it makes.

  1. Look after your body at weekend. Cut down on Cigarettes, alcohol, fatty foods and caffeine
  2. Drink 2 litres of water on a sunday evening to rehydrate your body fully before sleep.
  3. Avoid getting stressed.
  4. Play some sport or go to the gym. This will not only help keep your body healthy, but you will feel better on monday and during the week.

  9. Set yourself some goals. Think about what you would like to do during the week. Focus on these and you will feel good about all the things you will do during the week.

Nobody likes waking up on a Monday morning. If you followed our preparation advice however, hopefully when the alarm clock goes off on Monday morning you will already be feeling better and looking better. Try and wake up 15 minutes earlier than you normally would and give yourself time to properly prepare yourself for the day ahead. 
 
 


  • Use a good facial cleaner - Using a good facial cleaning product is vital to clean your skin, removing oil and dead skin cells and vital in energising your face. We love Lab Series for Men Face Scrub. Use a small amount before shaving and feel the difference. It's amazing. Your skin will be squeaky clean and pores will be cleaner.  To maintain a youthful look, we find Zihr Clean unbeatable. It is an impressive Alpha Hydroxy face wash which helps make you look younger and will lift of dead surface skin cells to reveal new smoother looking skin.
  • Try a pre-shave oil - If you feel like your taking a cheese greater to your face when you shave, try a pre-shaving oil that will help smooth the ride. 
  • Have a wet shave -Try having a shave in the shower. Not only will it soften your beard, but it will lead to a much smoother shave, and also if you do end up with any shaving nicks or cuts, then any bleeding should stop by the time you come out of the shower.
